first_imgThe low key presentation ceremony took place at the Sir Hubert Murray Stadium where the Motu Koita 9s rugby league grand final will be played this Saturday.Chairman of the MKRLA, Pipi Dae Boe thanked Tkatchenko for his support to the MKRLA.“All our plans will evolve around laying a platform or foundation for aspiring potential Motu Koita players to stand on and showcase their talents through the activities and opportunities that we will create and provide respectively so that they can be recognised and selected for higher playing levels.The next steps from here on any for aspiring Motu Koita players will be Southern Zone trials, Zone Championships, Digicel Cup, SP Hunters and Kumuls.“We also have plans to expand to include Central – going as far as Gabagaba, the most eastern Motu Koita village, Manumanu village in the Hiri West and Porebada, Boera, Lealea, Tubusereia Gaire and Barakau,” said Boe.Boe said part of the money will be used for this weekend’s grand final while the rest will go towards the running of the MKRLA and its competitions.last_img
