Pink Talking Fish to Play Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon at NYC’s Cutting Room, Oct. 18th

first_imgPink Talking Fish to Play Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon at NYC’s The Cutting Room on Saturday, October 18thIf you haven’t heard of Pink Talking Fish yet, let us clue you in on something special. Founded by Eric Gould, founding/former bassist of Particle, Pink Talking Fish is a hybrid fusion act that pays tribute to….you guessed it, Pink Floyd, the Talking Heads, and Phish. While each bands musical offerings varies stylistically, Gould and company has found the connection between the three band’s unique sounds and can make segues such as “Run Like Hell > Making Flippy Floppy > Piper > Run Like Hell” or “Mike’s Song > Have A Cigar > Once In A Lifetime > Weekapaug Groove” happen seamlessly. Supported by a rotating cast of musicians, which makes for interesting jams in and of themselves, Gould and Pink Talking Fish is not only a fun show, but extremely tight from a technical standpoint. If playing the songs of these bands wasn’t enough, Pink Talking Fish has announced that their October 18th show at NYC’s The Cutting Room will pay tribute to Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon. Mmm hmmm….yeah, we like that album too. This band can play the tough compositions of Phish, get funky and danceable like the Talking Heads, and bring out that emotion that Pink Floyd’s music evokes so eloquently. This is a show not to miss! Tickets to the show are $12. Get on it now, because the Cutting Room is going to get packed out.*** Purchase tickets to the show here! ***Pink Talking Fish performing Pink Floyd’s “Echoes” at this year’s Catskill Chill (this most definitely does not suck):[thanks to ErikInBelAir for the video]last_img read more
